Debbie Reynolds is an American actress, singer, entertainer and businesswoman. Her film credits include Singing in the Rain, Tender Traps, Joyful Bindings, and Tammy and the Bachelor. Reynolds was born Mary Francis Reynolds on April 1, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. Her parents are Maxine and Raymond. Reynolds is a member of the Girl Scouts. After the family moved to Burbank, California in 1939, she attended Burbank High School. She signed a contract with Warner Bros. shortly after winning the Miss Burbank pageant.

Debbie Reynolds passed away on December 28, 2016 at the age of 84. Her reported cause of death was a stroke. She was rushed to Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after developing breathing problems. She died a few hours later. She is survived by her son Todd Fisher and her granddaughter Billy Lord. Reynolds’ death came a day after the death of her daughter, Carrie Fisher. Fisher died of a heart attack on December 27, 2016.
