Even tattoo artist David Labrava saw the big dream of becoming a member of Hollywood and starred in the TV series “Son of Anarchy” and co-written an episode of it. So, how did David set foot on Hollywood, his dream destination? How has his journey been so far? Let us find out.
David Labrava: Hollywood tattoo artist:
Initially, David was a photographer for Zalman King Company. While working in the company, he learned script writing. David presided over the Whiplash ZK series, and also did an independent project called FTW under Picture Perfect Production, and later starred in Fencewalker.
After having 30 years of cycling experience, David was hired as a technical consultant for “Son of Anarchy”, and later he played the role of “Happy Loman” from the beginning of the show.
In an interview on November 15, 2011, David Labrava revealed some details of his trip to Hollywood.
When watching the “Son of Anarchy” series, everyone questioned whether he had taken an acting class. The answer is the same, David Labrava shared,
I was hired as a technical consultant when (program creator) Kurt [Sutter] Came to my area to seek some technical advice about the world of motorcycle clubs. I showed him the script I wrote and asked him to give me a chance when he was casting a cast. I participated in this show, and then he gave me a real opportunity to write, and I came.

It seems that the Hollywood thing has found me several times. I didn’t live here at all, trying to do this. I am a tattoo artist, I go to school to draw, I start to write and publish. I think every American child grows up dreaming of being in a movie. This is completely normal for us.

However, I mainly wanted to be a writer, and I took a screenwriting course. I got the opportunity to act. I have to say that acting is very interesting and important. The team I work with is incredible. They all appreciate movies very much. We do movie trivia all day long. Ron Perlman (Ron Perlman) understands film, all the way to black and white. I like acting, but I didn’t plan to do it. David revealed that he was obsessed with acting, and revealed his preference for acting, writing and directing.
I like writing. I think writing and directing go hand in hand. I started writing and publishing in 1990. I’m a little addicted to acting, it’s fun. I like acting, but I will definitely work towards the direction of the director.

I think Happy’s voice is getting louder and louder, but just like in a club, there are all kinds of members—everything you can imagine. Some guys are basically just soldiers, this is Happy. David’s role as a “happy” is a fan favorite and shared his fan experience, David said,
I have to say this is weird. I am recognized at least once a day. This is a very popular show. I grew up in Europe, and this show is bigger in Europe than here. Very big. It’s totally different to me. I live a very private life, and now I am recognized, but the fans are very grateful, it is really overwhelming. They are great.
The experience of co-writing TV series:

David shared his love for motorcycles and revealed that he owned a Harley-Davidson at the age of 17.
