David Bryan is an American magician and magician known for his endurance stunts. Featured stunts include Time Freeze, Drowning Alive, and Death Dive. Bran was born on April 4, 1973 in Brooklyn, New York. His mother, Patrice, was a teacher, and his father, William, was a Vietnam War veteran. He has a half-brother named Michael. Brian spent his early childhood in Brooklyn before moving to New Jersey at the age of 10. There, he attended Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls. He moved back to New York City as a teenager.
Profession
Bryan’s first special, “Street Magic,” aired on NBC in May 1997. It has been praised by Time magazine as well as magicians Penn and Teller. His second project, The Magician, was released the following year. Brian’s first endurance stunt was his “Buried Alive” in 1999. For the stunt, he spent a whole week buried under a 3-ton tank full of water. In Frozen (2000), Bran spends over 64 hours in a block of ice. His book, “Mysterious Stranger: The Book of Magic,” was published in 2002.
Blaine’s other stunts are included in The Following (2003), Drowned (2006), Revolution (2006), Death Dive (2008) and Electrify: One Million Volts (2012). His TV special “Real or Magic” aired on ABC in November 2013. Blane’s latest project, “Beyond Magic,” aired on ABC on November 15, 2016. The 1-hour special features celebrity guests such as Drake, David Beckham, Stephen Curry, John Travolta and many others.
