David Bowie is an English rock singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and is known for his changing male/female appearance. He was born David Robert Jones on 8 January 1947 in Brixton, South London. He attended Bromley Technical High School where he studied art, music and design. He formed his first band, The Konrads, at the age of fifteen.
