Dave Mirra is an American BMX driver, rally driver, X Games athlete and businessman. He holds the record for most X Games medals with 24. He was born on April 4, 1974 in Chite Nango, New York. He studied at the Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. He moved to Greenville and befriended BMX driver Ryan Nyquist.

In 1993, at the age of 18, Mirra made his debut as a professional BMX driver. In 2005, he won several medals at the X Games and received an ESPY award. He became the face of the Playstation 2000 video game “Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX” published by Acclaim Max Sports. Mirra started a business and had a brief partnership with GT Bicycles. He worked at Haro Bikes for a few years before starting his own company “MirraCo” in 2007. He was a factory driver for the Subaru Rally Team USA from 2012 to 2013.
