In 2004-05, he became the first player in New Mexico school history to rack up 60 assists, 60 steals and 60 blocks in a single season, won the Western Conference MVP and led the Robles all the way to the NCAA Tournament. After graduation, Danny Granger was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 17th overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2006, the NBA All-Star Team in 2009, and the NBA’s Most Improved Player in 2009. He’s averaging six more points per game than the previous year and setting career highs in scoring, 3-point and free-throw percentage. In the summer of 2010, Granger represented the US national team in the 2010 FIBA World Championships and helped the team win the gold medal. In 2012-13, Granger played only five games due to patellar tendonitis.
