What is Colin Kaepernick’s net worth and professional income?
Colin Kaepernick is an American football player and social activist with a net worth of US$20 million. In the six NFL seasons from 2011 to 2016, Colin’s salary (before taxes and expenses) was slightly more than $43 million. His highest salary in the NFL for the 2016 season was $14.3 million. He is also a political and civil rights activist, most famous for kneeling during the national anthem during NFL games to protest the brutality and racial inequality of American police.

Colin Rand Kaepernick was born on November 3, 1987 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His biological mother adopted him, and Colin became the third child of Rick and Teresa Kaepernick. The couple have two eldest children: son Kyle and daughter Devin. Kaepernicks decided to adopt a boy after losing two other sons due to heart defects. Kaepernicks lived in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until he moved to California when he was four years old. He is a 4.0 GPA student athlete at John H. Pitman High School in Turlock, California. Professional Football League
Colin was selected by the Chicago Cubs in 2009, but rejected MLB’s offer to continue playing. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft and served as a backup quarterback until 2012. He performed well throughout the 2012 season and eventually led the 49ers to the 47th Super Bowl in the same year. They lost to the Baltimore Ravens 31-34. In June 2014, Colin and the 49ers reached a seven-year contract renewal agreement. The renewal also brought a signing bonus of $12.3 million and a salary of $640,000 for the upcoming season. This $13 million is the only fully guaranteed aspect of the contract. The potential security deposit of $61 million can only be guaranteed if Colin suffers from an injury at the end of his career. This was a record contract at the time.
