Born Covelli Loyce Crisp in Los Angeles, California in 1979, Coco Crisp made his Major League Baseball debut for the Cleveland Indians on August 15, 2002. Crisp played with the Indians in 2005 before joining the Boston Red Sox from 2006 to 2008.

He was a member of the Kansas City Royals in 2009 and has been with the Oakland A’s since 2010. As of the end of the 2014 season, Crisp remained with the A’s.
