Chumlee is an American reality show star, actor and businessman. He is best known for appearing in the reality show “Pawn Star” on the History Channel. His TV works include “Counting Cars” and “Pawn Shop”. Chumlee was born on September 8, 1982 in Henderson, Nevada, formerly named Austin Lee Russell. His father died of pancreatic cancer when he was 54 years old. He has two siblings, Sage and Terra. He was also childhood friends with future businessman Corey “Big Horse” Harrison.

Chumlee started working in the “Gold and Silver Pawn Shop” in her early 20s. This 24-hour store was opened in 1989 by Richard Harrison and Rick Harrison. The reality show series “Pawn Stars” premiered on the History Channel on July 19, 2009. The show was filmed in Las Vegas, Nevada, with images produced by Leftfield. It became one of the highest-rated programs of History Channel since its establishment. In the show, Chumlee focuses on sports shoes, video games and pinball machines. He also tests merchandise and invoices store customers.

Chumlee has since appeared in Pawnography (2014-15), Counting Cars (2012-13), American Restoration (2010-12) and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (2010-13). In 2012, he guest-starred in the teenage sitcom “Icarly”. He served as the producer, editor and director of the documentary short film “Driven: The Story of Tanner Godfrey” (2013). His performance credits include terrorist crime, resurrection (2011). In addition to TV, Chumlee is also a successful businessman. He founded his own company to sell novelty items such as T-shirts. Rick Harrison bought his company in 2010 for $155,000.

Chumlee’s home was raided in March 2016 during a sexual assault investigation. During the search, the police found a gun, marijuana and methamphetamine. Several other legally owned guns were discovered in a subsequent raid. Chumlee was charged with multiple felonies on May 23, 2016, including drug/weapons charges. He pleaded guilty to some of the charges and was given a three-year probation and counselling.
