He caught the attention of NFL scouts and was considered the first Tiffin player to be drafted. Although he signed with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent in 2010, he was undrafted. He made his debut with the Saints in 2010 and is Pepsi’s NFL Rookie of the Week and FedEx’s Ground Player of the Week. Due to a running back injury, he became a starter and rushed for 158 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He injured his foot and was unable to play in the playoffs. He was traded to the New York Jets in 2013 during the 2013 NFL draft and signed a three-year deal worth $10 million. In September 2014, Ivory completed a 71-yard touchdown run, making it the second-longest TD run in Jets history.
