Chris Harrison is an American TV presenter and character. He is best known for hosting bachelors, single girls, and who wants to be a millionaire? Harrison was born on July 26, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. He attended Highland Lake High School in Dallas. Harrison’s skills as a football player won him a scholarship to Oklahoma City University. He graduated in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication.
Profession
Harrison began his career as a sports reporter at KWTV in Oklahoma City in 1993. During his six-year tenure, he covered local sports and hard news, such as the 1995 Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing. Harrison moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and soon became the host of the HGTV Designers Challenge. He hosted Mall Masters for GSN in 2001 and guest-starred in the TV series “The Girl Witch Sabrina” in 2002.
Harrison started hosting ABC Bachelor in 2002, Bachelor of Paradise in 2003, and Bachelor of Paradise in 2014. He hosted the ABC’s 2008 American Music Awards red carpet live broadcast! With Carrie Ann Inaba and Nicole Scherzinger. In 2015, Harrison replaced actor Terry Cruise as the new host of the joint game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”. Other host works include Miss America pageant, Bachelor Pad and Hollywood 411. His performances include the film dating movie (2006) with Alyson Hannigan and the “Cleveland Fever” series with Betty White (2014).
Harrison’s first book “The Perfect Letter” was published by Harper Collins in May 2015.
