Chris Duhon was born in Mamu, Louisiana in August 1982. He is a 6-foot-1 point guard who was selected as Mr. Basketball and was selected to the McDonald’s All-American while playing at Salmen High School.
Duhon was also named the 2000 USA Basketball Male Player of the Year. He played for Duke, won the NCAA Championship in 2001, and was named ACC Rookie of the Year. Duhon was named Second Team All-America by the National Basketball Coaches Association in 2004 and Third Team All-American by the Associated Press in 2004. He was selected 38th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2004 NBA draft. Duhon played for the Bulls from 2004 to 2008 before signing a two-year deal with the New York Knicks for $12 million from 2008 to 2010. He signed a four-year, $15 million deal with the Orlando Magic starting in 2010 through 2012. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he finished his career, before being waved off in 2013. In April 2014, Duhon was hired as an assistant coach at Marshall University, serving as an assistant coach under head coach Dan D’Antoni. Duhon’s cousin is NBA player Jarrett Jack.
