Chris Brown is an American R&B/pop singer, dancer, actor and Grammy Award winner. He was born on May 5, 1989 in Tapahannock, Virginia, his original name is Christopher Morris Brown. His parents are Joyce Hawkins and Clinton Brown. He has an older sister named Lytrell Bundy. Browned was educated at Essex High School in Virginia. He dropped out of school in 2005 to pursue music.

Brown began to sing in the local church choir. He also participated in a number of talent competitions. He was inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Sam Cook and Steve Wonder. Brown was discovered by Tina Davis of Def Jam Recordings. He signed with Jive Records in 2004 and released his first studio album of the same name in 2005. Brown made his television show debut in the 2006 sitcom “One-on-One”. Subsequently, he appeared in the youth drama series many times, and OC Brown made his first appearance in the 2007 drama and dance film “Stomp the Yard”. He later played Michael “Baby” Whitfield in this Christmas (2007). Other notable films include Takers with Paul Walker (2010), Think Like a Man with Michael Erie (2012), and Battle of the Year with Josh Holloway (2013).
