Charlie Zaya Net Worth
Charlieza Net Worth: Charlie Zaa is a Colombian singer who has a net worth of $10 million. Carlos Alberto Sánchez (best known as Charlie Zaa) was born on January 30, 1974 in Girardot, Colombia. Zaa is well known among Hispanics in Latin America and the United States. Zaa is the son of singer Luis Humberto Sánchez and has sung with two famous Colombian salsa orchestras: Grupo Niche and Guayacán.
When he started his solo career, he turned to Bolero rhythms (mid-1990s), and Zaa became a Latin American teen idol overnight. This newfound fame also brought paparazzi, and his pictures began to appear in numerous magazines. On July 23, 2004, Charlie Zaa was about to start a concert in Ponce, Puerto Rico, with abdominal pain and unable to perform. He was taken to a local hospital and then flown to Miami, Florida, where he remained hospitalized until he was diagnosed with kidney disease. Soon after, his personal physician corrected the problem in an operation performed in his native Colombia. Charlie Zaa has recorded nearly ten CDs (to date) since starting his solo career. His CD Sentimientos features some past hits and has reportedly sold over 3 million copies in Latin America and the United States. His albums Sentimientos and Un Segundo Sentimiento earned him Artist of the Year at the 1998 Billboard Latin Music Awards. For his fourth album, Zaa returned to the Sonolux studio in Bogota, where he produced his first album, Sentimiento, and returned to his original producer, Milton Salcedo, and recorded old romantic standards, wave Leroes and waltzes, trying to replicate the success of Sentimiento. Zaa’s album De Un Solo Sentimiento was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2002. In 2011, Zaa’s album De Bohemia topped the Billboard Latin Albums chart.
