Chandler Riggs is an American film and television actor. He rose to fame as “Carl Grimes” in the horror series The Walking Dead. His film credits include Get Low and Mercy. Riggs was born to parents Gina Ann and William Riggs on June 27, 1999, in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a younger brother named Grayson. Riggs attended Etwoah High School in Woodstock, Georgia. He is also homeschooled.

Riggs made his debut in the 2006 horror-comedy film Jesus H. Zombies. He played “Tom” in Aaron Schneider’s film Get Low. It was released in 2009 and starred Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Bill Murray. Riggs co-starred in “John Mitchell” with Bella Thorne and Ioan Gruffudd in Keep Watch (2016). Other notable films include The Wronged Man (2010) and Mercy (2014). His stage debut was the production of The Wizard of Oz.
