Burt Reynolds is an American actor, television producer and director. His outstanding film projects include “Rescue” (1972), “Smokers and Robbers” (1977), “Cannonball Escape” (1981) and “Unruly Nights” (1997). He has played important roles in TV shows such as Riverboat, Gunsmoke, Hawk, Dan August and Evening Shade. Reynolds was born on February 11, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan, his original name is Burton Leon Reynolds Jr.. His father Burton Milo Reynolds (died 2002) was a police chief, and his mother Fern H. Miller (died 1992) was a nurse. He has an older sister, Nancy, and an adopted brother, Jimmy. The family moved to Florida in 1946. Reynolds attended Palm Beach High School, followed by Florida State University. He was an excellent football player, but a knee injury ended his career.

Reynolds began to perform during class at Palm Beach Junior College. He played the leading role in the play “Outward Bound” produced by Watson B. Duncan III. That performance won him the 1956 Florida Theater Award. The award includes a scholarship to the Hyde Park Theatre. Bert Reynolds passed away on September 6, 2018, at the age of 82. A few years ago, he had been fighting with heart problems. The cause of death he reported was a cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at the Jupiter Medical Center in Florida. Reynolds married his first wife “Judy Kahn” from 1963 to 1965. He is dating singer Dinah Shore and actress Sally Field. His second wife was actress Lornie Anderson. The two adopted a son Quinton in 1988. Their marriage ended in divorce in June 1994. Reynolds is 5 feet 11 inches tall and has Dutch, English, Scottish, Irish and Italian descent. His net worth is estimated at 3 million U.S. dollars. The actor filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 in 1996. He recovered after two years.
