Hoskins won several prestigious Best Actor awards including a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for his work on 1986’s Mona Lisa. He was also nominated for an Oscar, but lost to Paul Newman for his role in “The Color of Money.” Unfortunately, Bob’s career was interrupted when he announced his retirement in August 2012 due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.
