She trailed her brother-in-law Hans Rausing in second place. Rausing helped make a substantial donation to the Lahore University of Management Sciences’ library, which was later renamed the Gad & Birgit Rausing Library. It opened in 2011, after it was noted that the donation would be used for educational purposes.
