Big Sean is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He is known for albums such as “Finally Famous,” “Hall of Fame,” “Dark Sky Paradise,” and “I Decided.” Sean was born Sean Michael Leonard Anderson on March 25, 1988 in Santa Monica, California. His parents are Myra and James Anderson. He has two brothers, Gregg Pluta and Chris Jinkins. Sean was raised by his mother and grandmother in Detroit, Michigan. There, he attended Detroit Waldorf School, followed by Cass Technical High School.

Sean started weekly rap contests on Detroit hip-hop station WHTD. In 2005, he met Kanye West during a radio interview on 102.7 FM in Clemens Hill, Michigan. Sean’s freestyle impressed West and gave him a copy of the demo tape. Two years later, he signed with West’s Good Music. Sean’s debut mixtape, Final Famous Vol. 1: The Mixtape, released in September 2007. It starred the hit single “Get’cha Some” produced by WrighTrax. His second album, Hall of Fame (2013), sold over 150,000 copies in the United States. Sean signed with Roc Nation in 2014. His third album Dark Sky Paradise was released in February 2015. It reached number one on the Billboard charts and was certified platinum by the RIAA. It was supported by the singles “IDFWU”, “Blessings” and “I Know”.

The fourth album titled “I Decided” was released on February 3, 2017. It marked Sean’s first concept album and was produced by Metro Boomin, DJ Dahi, DJ Mustard and several other producers. The album was led by the singles “Bounce Back” and “Moves”. A song titled “No Favors” featuring Eminem shot President Donald Trump.

In addition to music, Sean has also made his mark on the fashion industry. His clothing company, Aura Gold, was launched in 2013. Sean is featured in the Billionaire Boys Club winter 2008 lookbook. He has also represented Ti$A clothing and Rosewood clothing styles.
