Benjamin Galindo was born in December 1960 in Tierra Blanca, Zacatecas, Mexico. A midfielder, he started his career at Tampico Madero in 1979 until 1986 when he scored 26 goals in 205 games.
Galindo then played for Guadalajara between 1986 and 1994, scoring 84 goals in 271 appearances. From 1994 to 1997 he played for Santos Laguna, scoring 24 goals in 101 appearances. Next, he played for Cruz Azul between 1997 and 1999, scoring 19 goals in 72 appearances. Benjamin played for Pachuca in 1999 before returning to Guadalajara to finish his career in 2000-2001. He also represented Mexico in international competitions from 1983 to 1997, scoring 7 goals in 34 appearances and at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Galindo started coaching CD Guadalajara in 2004. He coached Santos Laguna in 2006 and then Cruz Azul from 2007 to 2009.
