Ben Stiller is an American film actor, comedian, director and producer. He is known for films such as “Rand at the Zoo,” “Meet the Parents,” and “Night at the Museum.” Stiller was born on November 30, 1965 in New York City as Benjamin Edward Milla Stiller. His parents were comedian Jerry Stiller and the late Annie Meera. He has a sister named Amy. Stiller attended Calhoun School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. He briefly studied film at UCLA.

Stiller made her debut in the 1986 Broadway production of The Blue Leaf House. He has small roles in the Kate & Ellie and Miami Vice series. His early film credits include Hot Pursuit (1987) and Fresh Horses (1988). Stiller joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” in 1989 as a writer. He spent 5 weeks at SNL before moving to Los Angeles. Stiller hosted “The Ben Stiller Show” on MTV (1989-90) and Fox (1992-93). The show won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in 1993.

Other films include Mary (1998) with Cameron Diaz, Parents (2000) with Robert De Niro and Tropical Thunder (2008) with Jack Black.
