He is probably best known for his screenwriter and starring “Goodwill Hunting”, and his director and starring “Argo”. He and Matt Damon won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for “Goodwill Hunting”. Ben won the Oscar for Best Picture for “Argo”. In his career, Ben has earned hundreds of millions of dollars in salary. Coincidentally, the $15 million he received from the 2003 movie “Salary” was the largest income in his acting career (before the back-end bonus).
early life
Benjamin Geisa Affleck-Bolt was born on August 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California to Chris and Tim Affleck. Ben’s mother was a teacher, and his father was an aspiring playwright who earned a living from various jobs, including electricians, janitors, carpenters and gamblers. When Ben was three years old, the family moved to Falmouth, Massachusetts. This is where his brother Casey was born. Then they settled permanently in Cambridge, where later his parents divorced.
Ben’s family is actively involved in art activities in Cambridge. Ben and his brother have participated in theater performances since they were young, and spent time with people engaged in art work. His mother was a friend of the local casting agent, who arranged auditions for the two boys in Affleck. Although she encouraged Ben to act, his mother never forced him to pursue an acting career; she wanted him to be a teacher.
At the age of eight, Ben Affleck met Matt Damon, who was two years older than him. The boys fell in love at first sight and became friends for life. They took acting classes together and later started their Hollywood career together.
Early career
Affleck’s first professional acting job, a local independent film, appeared when he was 7 years old. From 8 to 15 years old, Ben starred in PBS children’s shows “Mimi’s Voyage” and “Mimi’s Second Voyage”, working in Cambridge and Mexico. Subsequently, he appeared in the ABC special program “Wanted: The Perfect Man” and the TV movie “Hands of Strangers” at the age of 14 and 15 respectively.

“Goodwill Hunting”
The film that really started Affleck’s career was “Goodwill Hunting”, which he wrote and starred in with his close friend Matt Damon. The script started as a 40-page homework from Damon’s script writing class at Harvard University; later, after the two moved together in Los Angeles, they worked together to expand it into a script. They are all frustrated with the minor support and background roles that were abandoned before that, so they want to participate in a project where they can make big decisions on their own.
Affleck and Damon handed the completed script to their agent, who passed it on to several studios. Castle Rock accepted it in 1994, but they were unwilling to give Ben and Matt the creative control they wanted. The men took the script to Miramax, where they gained greater creative freedom.

In 1998, the two established a production company, Pearl Street Pictures. Later, they established another production company called LivePlanet. Work with Kevin Smith
Affleck has worked with director Kevin Smith many times.
