Baker Weathers net worth: Beck Weathers is an American pathologist who has a net worth of $4 million. Beck Weathers is known for surviving the 1996 Mount Everest disaster. In 1986, he took a mountaineering course and decided to climb the Seven Peaks. In May 1996, Rob Hall led Weathers and seven other clients to Mount Everest.
Weathers recently underwent radial keratotomy and became blind from overexposure to UV radiation and the effects of high altitude. He assured Hall that he would wait on the balcony until his guides returned so they could descend. Hall would die high up the mountain, and Weathers began to descend with another guide on a short rope. A blizzard hit and caused many problems, with Weathers freezing his hands and feet before being evacuated by helicopter for medical care. His right arm was amputated between the elbow and Wright, and four fingers and part of his left foot were amputated. His nose was also amputated and reconstructed. He wrote the book Left to the Dead: My Journey Home from Everest and was the subject of the film Into Thin Air: Everest and the Death of Everest.
