Badshah is an Indian music composer, rapper/singer and businessman from New Delhi, India. His music covers Bhangra, Desi hip hop and Bollywood genres. He is a former member of the Yo Yo Honey Singh band Mafia Mundeer. Badshah signed a contract with Sony Music India to distribute music in Hindi, Haryanvi and Punjabi. His records include the album ONE (Original Never Ends) and the songs “Paagal”, “Proper Patola” and “Tareefan”. He has worked with Aastha Gill, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kanungo among others.
His name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia and he was born on November 19, 1986 in New Delhi, India. His father is from Haryana and his mother is from Punjab. Badsha attended Barbarati Public School in Dripita. He studied mathematics at St. Stephen’s College and then civil engineering at PEC University of Technology in Chandigarh. If he does not become a musician, his backup plan is to become an IAS official.

Badshah came into contact with the new Punjabi music while studying for a degree at PEC. He gave a short performance under the stage name “Cool Equal”. Over the years, other nicknames include “Bad Boy Shah” and “Gabru Ghatak”. Badshah started his professional music career in 2006. He was originally a member of the Yo Yo Honey Singh band Mafia Mundeer. Their joint singles include “Begani Naar” and “Khol Botal” and “Delhi Ke Deewane”. Badshah appeared on Singh’s album International Villager (2011). Mafia Mundeer was dissolved in 2012.

Badshah collaborated with Aastha Gill to create songs such as “DJ Waley Babu” and “RayZR Mera Swag”. Their single “DJ Waley Babu” reached the top of the iTunes charts in India, and the official video received 236+ million views on YouTube. In 2015, Badshah appeared in Navv Inder’s song “Wakhra Swag”. It has won two Punjabi Music Awards, one of which is the most popular song of the year.
The Badshah single “Kar Gayi Chull” was adopted in the Bollywood movie “Kapoor and Son” (2016). The film is directed by Shakun Batra, starring Sidhas Malhotra, Favard Khan and Alia Bart. Its box office revenue was 23 million U.S. dollars. Badshah’s album ONE (Original Never Ends) was released by Sony Music India in August 2018. The 17-track project features Lisa Mishra, Aastha Gill and Sunidhi Chauhan. Badshah appeared in the singles “Bhare Bazaar” and “Proper Patola” on the soundtrack album Namaste England (2018). His summer song “Paagal” was released in July 2019. The soundtrack video received 75 million views on the first day it was released.
Badshah plans to make its first screen appearance in the upcoming movie “Khandaani Shafakhana” (2019). He was selected as “Gabru Ghaatak”. His film works as a composer include Khoobsurat (2014), Vedalam (2015) and Blackmail (2018). On YouTube, Badshah has more than 700,000 subscribers and more than 650,000 views. His channel provides official audio, music videos, and behind-the-scenes footage. He has 25,000 listeners every month on Spotify. Badsha has over 4.8 followers on its verified Instagram (badboyshah).
