Arsenio Hall was born on February 12, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. His father Fred is a Baptist pastor. His mother’s name is Anne Hall, just like a character in a movie. Arsenio liked magic when he was a child and performed magic for his parents and friends. In 1973, he graduated from Highland High School in Warrensville, Ohio. Arsenio Hall studied at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.

After graduating from college, Hall moved to Chicago and then to Los Angeles to continue his comedy career. He has appeared in “Soul Train” many times. In 1984, he served as the announcer/partner of Alan Seak on his short-lived talk show “Dark Night.” In 1988, he co-starred in “Coming to America” with Eddie Murphy, thus achieving a major breakthrough.
Hall’s approach to hosting his own talk show began when he served as the interim host of “Late Night Show,” a late night talk show produced by Fox to compete with “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.” The show originally featured the late comedian Joan Rivers as the protagonist, but the ratings were poor, so she was fired. Hall’s campaign as an interim host was very popular, and he cultivated a fanatical following. Fox canceled “The Late Show” in 1988, but “The Arsenio Hall Show” debuted as a national joint show on January 2, 1989. The show is very popular, especially among young people. His estate is located in a remote area of the Santa Monica Mountains, covering more than 30 acres. It has a custom 10,000 square foot mansion that resembles a huge space ship. The property has a mini golf course, tennis courts, a pond, a basketball court with 360-degree views of Los Angeles, etc. Arsenio’s Topanga complex/manor is worth more than $200,000 in the right market and is suitable for the right buyer.
