Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-born American actor, film producer, former bodybuilder and the 38th governor of California. He was born on July 30, 1947 in Thal, Austria, to Gustav and Aurelia to his parents. He has an older brother named “Meinhard” who died in 1971.

Schwarzenegger has been a bodybuilder since he was a teenager. He was crowned Mr. Universe at the age of 20. Schwarzenegger moved to the United States in 1968. He attended Santa Monica College and then the University of Wisconsin Superior. He graduated in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in business and international economics. Schwarzenegger was trained at Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles under the guidance of Joe Weider. Known as the “Austrian Oak”, he won a total of four Mr. Universe and seven Mr. Olympia titles.
Schwarzenegger made his first appearance in the 1969 low-cost film “Hercules of New York.” He won the Golden Globe New Actor Award for playing “Joe Santo” in the movie “Stay Hungry” (1976). Schwarzenegger starred in the 1977 documentary “Pumping Iron”. He gained fame for his protagonist in the 1982 fantasy movie “Conan the Barbarian”. His success in Hollywood continued in “Terminator” (1984), “Judgment Day” (1991) and “The Rise of the Machine” (2003). Schwarzenegger starred in the Expendables movie alongside Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Jet Li. Other famous movies include Total Recall (1990), Junior (1994) and Danny DeVito, as well as Terminator Genisys (2015) and Jason Clarke. The Schwarzenegger star was added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1987. He served as the governor of California for two terms from 2003 to 2011.
