AR Bernard Net Worth: AR Bernard is an American spiritual leader and life coach with a net worth of $5 million. AR Bernard was born on August 20, 1953. He is the CEO of the Christian Cultural Center (CCC) in Brooklyn, New York, a ministry and nonprofit organization with more than 33,000 members on an 11.5-acre campus.
He is also chairman of the New York City Council of Churches, which represents 1.5 million Protestant, Episcopal and Orthodox Christians. He is a member of the New York City Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and served on the New York City Chancellor’s Advisory Council and on Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s 2001 transition team. Before becoming a born-again Christian in January 1975, Bernard was a member of the American Muslim movement. In 1978, he and his wife, Karen, began studying the Bible in the kitchen of their Brooklyn railroad apartment. Bernard quit his 10-year banking career in 1979 to start a full-time ministry. As the Bible study group grew, so did the need for the facility. The Bernards took their savings to rent a small storefront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and later that year, Family Faith Ministries were established. In 1988, Household of Faith purchased and renovated an abandoned Brooklyn supermarket, transforming it into a 1,000-seat sanctuary complete with administrative offices and a bookstore. The Faith House was renamed the Christian Living Center and officially moved into its properties in June 1989, with 625 members. Bernard is also the founder of the Brooklyn Preparatory School and the Institute of Arts and Culture Charter School in New York City. Founded in 1993, BPS is a premier early childhood provider dedicated to serving young children aged 3-6. Their June 1999 first-year graduates were ranked 91st nationally in reading and 96th nationally in mathematics. Bernard has appeared in New York Magazine, The New York Times, The New York Post, The New York Daily News, Black Enterprise, Essence, Class Magazine, Glamour and many other newspapers and Feature articles published in magazines.
