Anuaga Net Worth: Anu Aga is an Indian businesswoman and social worker with a net worth of $800 million. Anu Aga was born in Mumbai, India in August 1942. Aga graduated from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai with a BA in Economics. She is a Fulbright Scholar and a graduate of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, majoring in social work in medicine and psychiatry.
She started her career at Thermax in 1985 and from 1991 to 1996 she will lead their Human Resources department. Anu took over as chairman of Thermax following the death of her husband Rohinton Aga. She retired in 2004 and was succeeded by her daughter and company vice-chairman, Meher Pudumjee. Since then, Anu has served on the company’s board of directors and has been involved in social work. Aga is listed as one of the 8 richest Indian women and in 2007 by Forbes magazine as one of the 40 richest Indians. Aga was awarded the Women of Mumbai Decade of Achievement Award by the ALL Ladies League. She was awarded the Padma Shri for Social Work by the Government of India in 2010. Anu is the current chairman of Teach For India and was nominated by President Pratibha Patil in 2012 to be a member of the upper house of the Indian parliament.
