Antonin Scalia is an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. He was born on March 11, 1936 in Trenton, New Jersey. He moved to Queens, New York when he was eight, and attended Xavier High School in Manhattan. He completed a BA in History at Georgetown University in 1957. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1960.

From 1961 to 1967, Scalia began working at Jones Day. He moved to Virginia in 1967 and taught law at the University of Virginia. In 1971, he was appointed general counsel to the Office of Telecommunications Policy by President Richard Nixon. He was later appointed Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Legal Counsel. In 1982, he was appointed to President Ronald Reagan’s Washington Circuit Court of Appeals. Scalia served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1986 until his death.
