Anthony Rizzo is an American professional baseball player who signed with the Chicago Cubs. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and serves as the first baseman. Anthony Vincent Rizzo was born on August 8, 1989 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His parents are Laurie and John Rizzo. His brother John played college football at Florida Atlantic University. Rizzo attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. He chose to become a professional player in 2007.

Rizzo and teammate Ryan Lavarnway were named the Red Sox Player of the Year in 2010. He finished the season with 100 RBIs and hit 0.260 with 42 doubles and 25 home runs.

Rizzo was traded to the San Diego Padres in December 2010. His Major League Baseball debut was against the Washington Nationals on June 9, 2011. Rizzo was traded to the Chicago Cubs in January 2012.
