Anthony Rapp is an American stage/film actor and singer. He played “Mark Cohen” in the Broadway musical “Rent” and “Paul Stamets” in the CBS TV series “Star Trek: Discovery”. His stage works include “If/Then” and “You are a good person, Charlie Brown”. He appeared in films such as “Another Woman” (2009), “Road Trip” (2000) and “A Beautiful Mind” (2001). His most recent films include “Another Woman” (2009) and “Enchantment” (2012). He currently plays the role of Lieutenant Paul Stamets in the CBS series Star Trek: Discovery (2017-). He played the role of “Larry Kellogg” repeatedly in the short-lived NBC series “Kidnapping” (2006-07). Other TV shows include X-Files, Law and Order: SVU, Spin City and Psych.

In addition to acting, Rapp is also a singer and writer. He composes music with his band Albinokid. His first studio album “Look Around” was released in October 2000. He appeared in the original cast recordings of Rent and If/Then. Rap’s autobiography “Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Music Rent” was published in 2006 by Simon & Schuster.
