Anna Brooks Kooiman is an American news anchor and reporter for Fox News Channel. She also hosts Fox & Friends and Fox News Extra. Kooiman was born to business parents on February 7, 1984, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended Miles Park High School and then the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Kooiman worked as a sideline reporter for the UNC Wilmington basketball team during his college days. She graduated in 2005 with an honours degree in Communication.

Kooiman started her career on WWAY-TV (ABC) in Wilmington in 2005. She started out as an intern before securing positions as reporter, anchor and video reporter. In 2007, she moved to Toledo, Ohio, where she worked as a morning anchor and reporter for WNWO-TV (NBC).
In 2008, Kooiman returned to Charlotte, North Carolina, to host “Fox News Rising” on WCCB-TV (FOX). She covers local news stories, entertainment, traffic and weather. Kooiman joined Fox News in 2011 to cover the New York City area. Her most recent credits include the 2015 special All-American New Years Live at Times Square in New York City. Kooiman is all about fitness. She is AFAA and Turbo Kick certified. She began teaching fitness classes in her hometown of Charlotte in 2008. She ran the Glass City Marathon in 2008 and the Boston and New York City Marathons in 2014.
