Andre Esteves Net Worth: Andre Esteves is a Brazilian banker with a net worth of $4.3 billion. Esteves is the CEO of multinational investment bank BTG Pactual. Andre Santos Estevas, born in 1969, made his fortune while studying mathematics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
He was hired by banker Luis Cesar Fernandes as an intern in the IT department of investment bank Puctual. Despite Brazil’s ongoing hyperinflation, Estevas has climbed the ranks as an ace trader. In 1990, he was promoted to the fixed income desk of the operator, which soon became a huge profit generator. A few years later, Estevas became one of five partners and took over command of the firm in 1999. In 2006, Estevas sold Pactual for $3.1 billion to Swiss bank UBS, which established the Brazilian subsidiary UBS Pactual and was later listed as a billionaire. He was named President of Latin America, responsible for the global fixed income division, until leaving the bank in 2008 to found BTG, an asset and investment firm. Next year, BTG acquired UBS Pactual, and Estaves now serves as CEO and controlling shareholder.
