Amine is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He became the center of attention with his 2016 single “Caroline”. His records include Good for You (2017), OnePointFive (2018) and Limbo (2020). Adam Amine Daniel was born on April 18, 1994 in Portland, Oregon. He studied at Benson Polytechnic High School and played basketball there.

Amin started rap in high school for fun. His first mixed tape “Odyssey to Me” was released independently in January 2014. He then released the EP “En Vogue” (2014) and the second mixtape “Calling Brio” (2015). His first single “Caroline” was released by Republic Records in March 2016. It was co-produced with Pasque. This song is ranked 11th on the Billboard Top 100 Singles chart and 5th on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. It has obtained triple platinum certification in the United States and sold more than 3 million copies. The official music video of’Caroline’ was released to YouTube on June 1, 2016. Since then, the number of views has exceeded 165 million. In November 2016, Amin was the guest music guest on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Amin is currently signed to Republic Records. His second single “Baba” was released in November 2016. He collaborated with pop singer Kehlani on the 2017 single “Heebiejeebies”. His controversial song “REDMERCEDES” was released in March 2017, and the music video was released in April 2017. Amine is the 10th in the 2017 XXL freshman class. This issue marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Xinsheng franchise. Other winners include XXXTentacion, Ugly God and Playboi Carti.

Amine’s first studio album Good for You was released by CLBN and Republic in July 2017. It has sold more than 500 units and obtained RIAA gold certification. In August 2018, Amin gave up his third mixtape called “OnePointFive”. It was supported by the single “Reel It In”. The tape contains guest verses from Gunna, G Herbo and Rico Nasty. Two years later, Amin released his second album Limbo (2020). It ranked 16th in the Billboard 200 with songs such as “Shimmy”, “Compensating” and “Riri” by Summer Walker.
