Aly Raisman is an American rhythmic gymnast and four-time Olympic medalist. She captained the USA Gymnastics team at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Riceman was born to Lynn and Rick’s parents on May 25, 1994, in Needham, Massachusetts. She has three siblings, Chloe, Brett and Madison. Raisman attended Needham High School, graduating in 2012. She attends Babson College during the off-season.

Raisman became interested in gymnastics at the age of 2. She drew inspiration from the 1996 U.S. Olympic team, The Magnificent Seven. Raisman started her training at Excel Gymnastics, followed by Brestyan’s USA Gymnastics Club. She won the Junior Vault in 2009 and finished 12th in the Cover Girl Classic.

Riceman made his senior team debut at the America’s Cup in Massachusetts in 2010. She won team gold at the 2010 Melbourne Pacific Rim Championships and gold at the 2011 World Championships in Tokyo. Reisman made his Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She won an impressive three medals, two of which were gold. Raisman represented Team USA at the 2016 Rio Olympics alongside Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian. She won her third Olympic gold medal in the women’s arts group all-around.

In 2013, Lessman participated in the 16th season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. She is paired with professional ballroom dancer and two-time champion Mark Ballas. The two finished in fourth place. In June 2016, Raisman appeared on the Lifetime show “Gold Medal Families”.
