early life
Allyson Felix was only 18 years old when he won the silver medal in the 200m at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She also set a world youth record in the 200m event with a score of 22.18. Her father, Paul, was a Baptist pastor, and he was an excellent sprinter in his youth. From her teacher’s mother, Marlene, Alison inherited her long legs. Felix joined the sport with her brother Wes, although she didn’t join the track team until she was in the ninth grade of Los Angeles Baptist High School in North Mountain. She began an impressive high school career almost immediately. Only ten weeks after that selection, she was eligible to participate in the state conference. She finally won the seventh place in the 200m project.

After graduating from Los Angeles Baptist High School in 2003, she decided to change her major. In 2005, she became the youngest gold medalist in the 200-meter sprint history of the Helsinki World Championships. In 2007, she became the second female athlete to win three gold medals at the individual IAAF World Athletics Championships (after Marita Koch in 1983). She qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in the 200-meter trials of the 2008 Olympic Games. On the eve of the 2009 World Track and Field Championships, Felix was a member of the US 4 x 100m relay team, which ran the fastest women’s sprint relay in 12 years. She is hailed as the new savior of the American track team.
