The business was founded in 1972 and its largest subsidiary is Clark Construction Group LLC, one of America’s leading construction companies, established in 1906 as the George Heyman Construction Company. In fact, Clark’s first job after he graduated from the University of Maryland was at the century-old George Hyman Construction Company, which he later acquired, renamed and shaped into his business. Clarke Architecture now represents many notable creations, including popular locations such as FedEx Field outside Washington, D.C., Petco Park in San Diego, Miller Park in Milwaukee, Camden Field and Ravens Stadium in Baltimore.
