She supported many causes, including affordable housing, universal health insurance and more affordable university education. She also supports criminal justice reform and the abolition of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In February 2019, Ocasio-Cortez proposed her “Green New Deal” resolution. It aims to solve problems ranging from climate change (zero greenhouse gas emissions) to economic inequality (employment, universal healthcare).
