Adewale Ogunleye was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1977, and is 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds. He played college football at Indiana University, where he earned a degree in English. Ogunleye was named to three All-Big Ten teams and was placed on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list in 1999.
Although O’Gunley was a top prospect entering his senior season, he suffered a serious knee injury and was undrafted in the 2000 NFL draft. That same year, the Miami Dolphins signed O’Ganlaye as an undrafted free agent. Although he was injured in his rookie season, Ogunleye played for the Dolphins in his second year. He turned pro bowler and All-Pro in 2003, the same season he led the AFC in sacks. In 2004, O’Ganlay was traded to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a wide receiver and draft pick. He’s still very successful with the Bears, appearing in Super Bowl XLI. In 2010, he signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans, O’Ganlay’s last professional football game.
