He is known for tracks such as “Look Back At It”, “My Sh!t”, “Swervin” by 6ix9ine and “Drowning” opposite Kodak Black. His recordings include the albums Hoodie SZN (2018) and The Bigger Artist (2017). A Boogie is the principal of Highbridge the Label. He is also signed to Atlantic Records.
A Boogie was born artist Julius Dubose on December 6, 1995 in the Bronx, New York. He grew up in the residential area of Highbridge. He attended Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, followed by Performance Prep School in Fort Pierce, Florida. He moved back to New York in the summer of 2015.

A Boogie teamed up with Kodak Black on their 2017 single “Drowning.” The song peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is the first single from his debut album. Boogie appears on the “Horses” track with PnB Rock and Kodak Black. He has also collaborated with artists such as Lil Bibby, Quavo and Kehlani.
In June 2017, A Boogie was selected into the XXL freshman class together with Kamiyah, MadeinTYO, Ugly God and other 6 people. His debut studio album, The Bigger Artist, was released three months later. It was supported by the singles “Drowning” and “Say A”. The album reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and was later certified Gold, selling over 500,000 copies. A Boogie and Fetty Wap appear on the song “Keke” from 6ix9ine’s album Day69 (2018). Keke’s supporting music video has been viewed 121+ million times.
A Boogie’s second EP International Artists was released in June 2018. It spawned the single “Nonchalant” with Alkaline, “Best Friend” with Tory Lanez and “Way Too Fly” with Davido. His second album, Hoodie SZN, premiered in December 2018. It topped the Billboard 200, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and Top Rap Albums charts. Hoodie SZN sold 90,000 copies in its opening week. The album’s lead single, “Look Back at It”, rose to number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
