50 Cent is an American rapper, actor and business tycoon. He is the head of the hip-hop group G-Unit. His records include Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (2003), The Massacre (2005) and Curtis (2007). He has worked with record companies such as Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records and Capitol Records. As an actor, 5 Cent played an important role in Kills for Justice (2008), Plan of Escape (2013) and Lair of Thieves (2018). He co-starred in “Kanan” in the Starz series Power (2014-). 50 Cent was born Curtis James Jackson III in Queens, New York on July 6, 1975. He was raised near Jamaica by single mother Sabrina Jackson.
