They played on local radio and then met the DJ who produced their debut single, “Soda Fountain Girl.” Eddy’s follow-up instrumental “Movin’ n’ Groovin'” climbed to No. 72 on the US charts in the late ’50s. His next single, “Rebel Rouser,” broke into the top ten, peaking at number six. This sparked a series of successes that continued into the next decade. “Because They’re Young” from the 1960s was Eddy’s best-performing single of his career, reaching the top five in both the US and the UK.
