TI aka TIP is a Grammy-winning American rapper, music producer and actor. He was born Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. on September 25, 1980, in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents were Violeta Morgan and Clifford Harris (deceased). He has two siblings, Brice and LaTeisha. TI attended Douglas High School but dropped out. He was arrested several times for drug trafficking as a teenager.

TI started rapping and writing her own lyrics at an early age. He signed with Arista Records in 1999 and his debut studio album, I’m Serious, was released in October 2001. The album sold poorly and received mixed reviews from critics. That same year, TI formed the hip-hop group Pimp Squad Click. They released four mixtapes and their debut album 25 to Life was released in 2005. TI launched its own label, Grand Hustle Records, in 2003. TI released his second album “Trap Muzik” in 2003 after a joint venture with Atlantic Records. His sixth album, Paper Trail (2008), was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He has also won three Grammy Awards for his contributions to rap music. TI’s hits include “Bring Em Out,” “Whatever You Like,” “Live Your Life” and “Dead and Gone.” He has collaborated with artists such as Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Lil Wayne and Iggy Azalea.
As an actor, TI made her television debut in the 2005 OC drama series, before starring as “Rashad Swann” in the 2006 drama ATL. TI played “Jack Attica” in the 2010 action crime thriller Takers. The film also stars Paul Walker, Matt Dillon and Chris Brown. Other films include American Gangster (2007) with Russell Crowe, Hardened (2015) with Will Ferrell and Ant-Man (2015) with Paul Rudd. He has also appeared in the series, Boss, House of Lies and the miniseries “Roots”.
